MKA Mermaid Courses
Mermaid Kat Academy was the world’s first public mermaid school, founded by professional Mermaid Kat in August 2012. Since then, Mermaid Kat Academy (MKA) has been offering a variety of mermaid courses to suit different skill levels. These include a beginners mermaid course, an advanced mermaid course, and a professional freediving mermaid course for those looking to take their skills to the next level.
In addition to mermaid courses, MKA provides specialized workshops such as an online breath-holding workshop and an underwater model workshop. These workshops allow participants to refine their skills, expand their knowledge, and develop confidence in various underwater environments. With a focus on safety, technique, and creativity, MKA continues to inspire aspiring mermaids around the world.
SSI Mermaid Courses
Scuba Schools International (SSI) offers a range of mermaid and underwater performance courses designed to help participants develop confidence and creativity in the water. Their mermaid courses focus on building essential skills such as monofin swimming, breath control, and body positioning, while the SSI Ocean Mermaid course introduces techniques for navigating open water environments.
For those interested in underwater performance, SSI also offers specialized courses like underwater model and underwater dance. What to bring to your Mermaid Courses
Please bring swimming goggles and anything else you would typically take with you for a regular swim at the pool, such as a towel, water bottle, and a change of clothes. If you have your own mermaid tail, feel free to bring it along so you can practice in familiar equipment. However, depending on the design of your tail, we may require you to use one of our tails during the course to ensure safety and comfort in the water. If you don’t have a tail yet, don’t worry — we’ll provide everything you need to enjoy your mermaid experience. Most importantly, bring your excitement and get ready for a magical adventure in the water!
