Options:

Option 1 (One free week in Phuket and Mermaid Retreat on Phi Phi Island): We spend the first week in Phuket. You can already get to know other participants and our team here and organise your week just as you like. No activities are included in the first week. We spend the second week together on Phi Phi Island for our Mermaid Retreat. The trip includes a total of 14 days, 20th April – 04th May 2024.

Option 2 (One week in Phuket with activities and Mermaid Retreat on Phi Phi Island): We spend the first week in Phuket. Here you can already get to know other participants and our team and take part in some planned activities (see below). We spend the second week together on Phi Phi Island for the Mermaid Retreat. The trip includes a total of 14 days, 20th April – 04th May 2024.

Option 3 (Mermaid Retreat only): You only take part in the Mermaid Retreat on Phi Phi. The trip includes a total of 7 days, 27th April – 04th May 2024.

Price:

Option 1: 3,199 EUR (around USD 3,500 or AUD 5,200). This offer includes a free week on Phuket and the Mermaid Retreat on Phi Phi. The trip includes a total of 14 days.

Option 2: 3,699 EUR (around USD 4,000 or AUD 6,000). This offer includes a week on Phuket including the activities below and the Mermaid Retreat on Phi Phi. The trip includes a total of 14 days.

Option 3: 2,899 EUR (around USD 3,200 or AUD 4,700). This offer includes the Mermaid Retreat on Phi Phi only. The trip includes a total of 7 days.

Accompanying persons who do not take part in courses, photo shoots and our other activities receive a discount of 10% on the stated prices.

A deposit of 20% is due immediately after booking. The course fee of 1,000 EUR (around USD 1,100 or AUD 1,600) is due 90 days before the start of the trip (this will not be refunded in the event of cancellation by you). The balance is due 30 days prior to departure.

Participation in our Mermaid Retreat and Portfolio Vacation requires a strong and confident swimming ability. We also recommend a basic level of fitness, as swimming with mermaid tails can be quite demanding. However, no prior free diving, scuba diving, or modeling expertise is necessary.

Whether you’re just embarking on your underwater journey or possess professional skills, everyone finds their place at our Mermaid Retreat. We tailor our support to your individual proficiency level, ensuring a rewarding experience for all.

At the Mermaid Retreat Thailand, we wholeheartedly believe that mermaids and mermen come in a rich tapestry of sizes, shapes, colors, ages, and genders. There are no specific visual criteria to meet, as we celebrate diversity and inclusion. However, participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

At our Mermaid Retreat Thailand, we seamlessly combine enjoyment, a deep connection with nature, learning opportunities, and the chance to share remarkable experiences. An integral part of this experience is the focus on underwater photo shoots. We are committed to helping you craft a distinctive underwater content portfolio featuring awe-inspiring images. Our dedicated team of experts is always there to support you throughout the retreat.

Over the course of the week, you’ll receive guidance and assistance in various aspects, including mermaiding, embodiment, and breath-work. Our expertise allows us to cater to individuals of all levels of experience, whether you’re a seasoned mermaid or merman or just starting your underwater journey. With our support, we are confident that we’ll create enchanting and magical content together.

Once the retreat concludes, you’ll have the opportunity to select your favorite 10 photos from the included package, and should you desire more, additional images are available for purchase. In a short turnaround time, you will receive the fully edited, high-resolution versions of your underwater photos. These stunning images are yours to use for personal enjoyment and self-promotion, such as on social media or your websites. It’s important to note that a model release will be required to allow us to use these images as well.

If you would like to have an individual video of yourself in addition to the general video of the trip, you can choose between different packages. Jens and Melli Drygalla, the creative minds behind “D Image Factory,” passionately document events through their videography. With a keen eye for capturing moments of joy, healing, and embodiment, they go above and beyond. They excel not only in crafting unforgettable souvenir videos for retreats but also in collaborating with participants to bring their unique video concepts to life. Beyond their videography expertise, both Jens and Melli are certified lifeguards, with Melli also holding the prestigious role of a mermaid instructor at the Mermaid Kat Academy Germany. Jens showcased his talents on a global stage by reaching the finals in the “Underwater Video” category at the prestigious World Shootout 2023.

Underwater Photographer:

Ian Gray is not just Mermaid Kat’s husband; he’s also an award-winning underwater photographer. His exceptional talent was recognized when he secured the 1st place at the International Diving Festival PAF 2023 in the “Pool and Creative” category. Ian’s true passion lies in collaborating beneath the waves with diverse individuals. What he cherishes most is guiding “newcomers” who are relatively new to underwater modeling, providing both advice and hands-on support. His dedication is not only to capture captivating images but also to empower his models, nurturing their self-confidence and ensuring their posing prowess.

Do I need Travel Insurance for the Mermaid Retreat?

We strongly recommend that you take out insurance for this Mermaid Week. Please note that you must also sign a liability release before you can participate in our activities.

Can I bring my Partner or a Friend?

You’re invited to our Mermaid Retreat with open arms, and we encourage you to bring along your partners, friends, and other companions. They have the choice to fully engage in all activities or simply partake in those that pique their interest. Moreover, the surrounding area offers a variety of additional activities.

Accompanying individuals are also welcome to choose 10 photos from the retreat for themselves. Alternatively, they can opt to allocate these photos to the participating attendee.

In the event that an accompanying person has no inclination to join our training sessions or photo shoots, they will receive a generous 10% discount on the total price.

Accommodation for the first week, 20th -27th April 2024: Phuket Graceland Resort and Spa, Patong

Phuket Graceland Resort & Spa with its prime location overlooking the Andaman Sea is the premier resort in Patong Beach with its tropical beauty and geographic grandeur. The 600 stylish rooms and suites are tastefully designed and offer plenty of space, super comfortable furnishings and all the luxurious amenities one would expect from a four-star resort. Almost all rooms have a private balcony overlooking the sea, the garden or the pool and are equipped with two beds.

Graceland appreciates the care and support it has received from Mother Nature, the local environment and community. Therefore, Graceland is committed to protecting nature, preserving the environment and fulfilling its social responsibility.

With a central location in Patong, many markets, bars, restaurants, the beach, massage places and shopping centers can be reached in a few minutes by foot.

Accommodation during Mermaid Week, 27th April -04th May 2024: Zeavola Resort & Spa, Phi Phi Island

Zeavola Resort & Spa is a luxurious barefoot resort that takes joy in returning to simplicity on the beautiful island of Koh Phi Phi Don in the Andaman Sea. The Phi Phi Islands are probably best known for the Leonardo di Caprio film “The Beach”. There was worldwide media coverage of the damage caused by mass tourism and day trippers visiting the famous Maya Bay and its subsequent closure.

Florian Hallerman, Zeavola’s manager, is an avid environmentalist and has made huge changes within the resort to bring more sustainable luxury to a remote destination.

Replacing plastic packaging for weekly deliveries from mainland Thailand or Phuket saves a whopping 260kg of plastic per year. By implementing its own drinking water bottling plant and drinking water filling stations throughout the resort, single-use plastic bottles will be reduced by 120,000 per year.
